Macbook Pro VS Dell for college?
I’ve used Dell my whole life, but I recently bought an iPhone so was thinking of sticking with Apple. I’m hesitant because I’m worried I won’t adjust to the Mac quickly, since I start school in 10 days.. Also, I probablly wont use photoshop or other editing systems that Mac offers.
I was asking the same question just a month ago and decided to switch to a mac after working on PCs my whole life. Macs are more popular on college campuses and among most professors. It literally took me no time to get used to working on a mac and if you are having a hard time with the track pad (which was my biggest issue) they can configure it for you to work the same way that a PCs mouse pad works. If you go for a Mac, I highly recommend that you buy it from an apple store because when you buy it they have you open it and turn it on and they set up everything for you and you can ask any questions before you even leave the store. I decided to switch because of virus problems with PCs and I can already tell a big difference. There is a big price difference, but it is worth it because you dont have to deal with all the geek squad over charging services that never seem to work anyway. With apple products you can take it into the store and most often if you buy applecare they will fix it for you for free unless theres a major problem. Another plus is the education pricing for college students that they run during the summer. Dont worry about capatability issues because macs can now run windows programs. I’m also loving how easy the iWork programs are compared to Microsoft Office. I am very happy that I decided to switch to a Mac for college.
