nef photoshop cs2 Questions
Adobep Photoshop CS2 Wont update Adobe Camera Raw Update?
I need to update my photoshop CS2’s Raw formats so it can read nef and cr2 files but i read im am suppose to instal and update adobe camera raw right? But it wont update properly adobe update manager says unable to update or something like that! what the heck any other way i can get CS2 to read NEF and CR2 files? I tried the DNG converter and puting it in the plugn format folder that didnt work either
The latest Camera RAW is only available for the latest Photoshop. In other words, you’re stuck with what you have.
However, Nikon and Canon do have tools that can convert their own formats to TIFF:

At the moment, TIFF is the only common image format that can handle high color depth (the reason you’re using raw).
DNG is a competing raw format used by other camera makers.
It might help to purchase Lightroom, which can manage your collections, natively edit many RAW formats, and export files for Photoshop.
