Photoshop heart shaped vignette.?
I am looking for directions or a tutorial on doing a heart vinette in Photoshop CS3. Anyone know how?
Once you have your image on the screen, draw a heart shape. (Using the Custom shape Tool – about five from the bottom in your tool palette).
(the custom shape tool looks a bit like Casper the ghost)
Then open Windows->Path. Click on the little traingle in the path indow and choose “Make selection from path”. Make sure you feather the path.
Your heart shaped path is now a selection. All you now do is to invert this selection and darken the outer areas by using ‘levels’ or ‘curves’.
If you have not downloaded the various shapes, you can do this by clicking the little triangle – top right corner of the custom shapes window and download the shapes you need. The shapes are all in your ‘preset’ folder in Photoshop.
