photoshop illustrator download Questions
Using New Fonts in Illustrator and Photoshop…?
I’m using a new macbook and just downloaded a new font. It’s in my fontbook but it’s not showing up in any of my design software. I need to know how to put a new, downloaded font into Illustrator and Photoshop etc…
I’ve restarted the application and restarted my computer, still didn’t work.

If it’s in Font Book those apps will generally find it.
In Font Book, go to preferences and make sure you have ‘automatic activation’ selected.
Also, try resetting your fonts in the character windows of photoshop/illustrator (that will usually hunt them down).
You do that buy clicking the small arrow in the top right corner of the “characters” pallet and selecting “Reset Character”

If none of that works, you can give a font manager a try. They are generally more efficient at dealing with 3rd p[arty apps than Font Book.

How do you share Adobe Illustrator?
If a friend wanted to share her Adobe Illustrator with me, how would we get it off of her computer and onto mine? Like, could I maybe put the application on a flash drive and then download it via flashdrive onto my computer? I know it's possible to get programs such as photoshop and illustrator from a person you know without buying it but if she doesnt have the original packaging of the downloadable product could i somehow rip it, as she has already downloaded it from her computer?

First, what you’re proposing is illegal. Second, it won’t work. You’ll need the original install disk, as well as the serial number. The serial number cannot be used on another computer, so you’ll need to buy your own.
Try Inkscape instead. It’s an open source, free, legal alternative to Illustrator.
