For the Photoshop experts…….?
I’m looking at replicating a graphic that someone has done and I just can’t put my finger on how he did it. I wanna know how he made the background.
I think he did it with some sort of grunge brush or texture, but every grunge texture I get doesn’t exactly look this.
Any ideas?

Well the base of the background is most likely a photo of concrete ( http://www.sxc.hu/photo/743251 ) with a gradient overlay put on top of it and a monochrome gaussian noise filter set at about 4 or 5 depending on the resolution.
Then the cracks are probably just a brush ( http://www.brusheezy.com/brush/1363-Cracks- )
The grungy black border thing that’s going on it probably also a brush, but the exact one is impossible to trace.
